Bambu Lab PETG-CF

Stiff, tough and matte

PETG-CF is PETG reinforced with carbon fibres. It’s stiffer and more heat-resistant than PETG Basic, keeps the toughness of PETG and has a fine matte finish that hides layer lines. Ideal for brackets, housings, jigs and parts for outdoor use.

Spool or refill?

Two ways to buy PETG-CF

Filament on a spool

Ready to print. Keep the reusable spool for your next refills.

Refill (without spool)

Cheaper and less waste: click the refill onto your reusable Bambu spool. Works in the AMS series.

Swapping a refill

How to fit a refill onto the spool is explained step by step in the Bambu Lab wiki.

Recommended values from Bambu Lab’s technical data sheet. With the RFID chip, your printer sets them automatically.

Carbon fibre is abrasive: always use a hardened steel nozzle and no 0.2 mm nozzle.

Dry PETG before use: it absorbs moisture quickly, which causes stringing and bubbles.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a special nozzle?

Yes. Carbon fibre quickly wears down a standard nozzle. Use a hardened steel nozzle of 0.4 mm or larger. A 0.2 mm nozzle can clog.

Does PETG-CF work in the AMS?

Yes, PETG-CF works in the AMS. Thanks to the RFID chip, the AMS recognises the colour and print settings automatically.

What’s the difference between a spool and a refill?

It’s the same filament. A refill comes without a spool, costs less and clicks onto a reusable Bambu spool. If you don’t have a reusable spool yet, choose the spool version for your first roll.

Can I order a colour that’s out of stock?

No, we only sell filament from stock. Click the colour you want in the colour chart and ask to be notified as soon as it’s back in stock.

How do I dry PETG?

8 hours at 65 °C in a drying oven, or in an AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT at 65 °C. Then store it airtight below 20% humidity, for example with desiccant.

How fast is delivery?

In-stock items are usually delivered within 1 to 3 working days in Belgium. Collection in Aalst is also possible.
