Let the light through
PLA Translucent has a frosted-glass finish that diffuses light beautifully, ideal for lampshades, lanterns and decoration. It is durable enough for long-term indoor use and bonds perfectly with all other PLA filaments.
Print settings
Recommended values from Bambu Lab’s technical data sheet. With the RFID chip, your printer sets them automatically.
Clean the build plate thoroughly before printing. How translucent your print turns out depends on thickness, infill, speed and nozzle temperature.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get the most translucent prints?
Dry the filament, print thin walls with 100% infill, low speed and a higher nozzle temperature, and preferably use a 0.8 mm nozzle. The Bambu Lab wiki has a complete profile with the right settings.
What’s the difference from PETG Translucent?
PLA Translucent has a frosted-glass look that diffuses light nicely and is easier to print. PETG Translucent is more see-through.
Can I order a colour that’s out of stock?
No, we only sell filament from stock. Click the colour you want in the colour chart and ask to be notified as soon as it’s back in stock.
How should I store this filament?
Dry and airtight, below 20% humidity, for example with desiccant. If the filament has absorbed moisture, dry it: 8 hours at 50 °C in a drying oven.
How fast is delivery?
In-stock items are usually delivered within 1 to 3 working days in Belgium. Collection in Aalst is also possible.
