Bambu Lab H3C Combo
Nine materials in one print, switching in 6 seconds
The H3C is Bambu Lab’s first third-generation printer. Nine PrintTools, each with its own filament path and heater, stay loaded and preheated. That lets you switch colour or material in about 6 seconds, with just 38 mg of purge. The AMS 3H comes with the Combo: nine spools stored airtight, loaded automatically and with a built-in dryer.
Why the H3C Combo
Multicolour, multi-material and more, in one machine
Swaptek™ tool changer
Nine PrintTools stay loaded and preheated, so there’s no need to retract filament. Active Pre-Heat warms up the next nozzle in advance: a tool change takes 3.4 s, a material change about 6 s.
AMS 3H included
A fully enclosed filament system for 9 spools, with RFID and automatic loading. Two drying slots up to 85 °C dry PA, PC and CF filament, even while printing. Add your existing AMS units to go up to 24 spools.
FlexFeed for soft TPU
FlexFeed prints both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament. With 2.85 mm TPU you can print as soft as 75A, at up to 3× the flow of conventional printers. The PrintTool for 2.85 mm is already in the box.
Colour mixing with CMYKW
With five base colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white), the H3C builds up a wide colour spectrum layer by layer, without a spool for every shade. You’ll need the Bambu PLA Palette (CMYKW) for this.
Different nozzles in one print
Fine details with 0.2 mm, the rest with 0.4 mm and a dedicated nozzle for TPU. Bambu Studio gives each nozzle its own layer height. PrintTools in other diameters are sold separately.
Engineering materials
A chamber actively heated up to 65 °C, nine hardened steel nozzles (HRC 55+) up to 350 °C and a print bed up to 120 °C: ready for ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PPS and carbon or glass fibre reinforced filaments.
Fast and precise
The toolhead is 40% lighter than on the H2D, for 25,000 mm/s² acceleration and speeds up to 1,400 mm/s. With the optional Vision Encoder you can restore motion accuracy to under 50 µm.
Fully automatic, with AI monitoring
The H3C calibrates docking, nozzle offsets and bed levelling itself, before every print. AI detects spaghetti, clogs and a jammed purge bin, and the new HMS with MiniWiki shows the fix step by step on screen.
More than 3D printing
Swaptek also swaps CraftTools (sold separately): cutting, drawing, debossing and foil transfer, automatically within the same job. One machine, no manual swaps.
Applications
Who is the H3C Combo for?
Makers & designers
Full-colour figures without painting, models with a silk or wood look, and print-in-place designs with flexible TPU joints.
Product development & engineering
Functional multi-material prototypes in one piece: a rigid housing with a soft grip, damping hinges, or shoes and bags with TPU in different hardnesses.
Education & makerspaces
An enclosed machine with HEPA and carbon filters that calibrates itself and explains errors on screen. With CraftTools, it can also cut and draw.
Technical specifications
During heat-up the printer draws maximum power for 3 to 5 minutes. Limited circuit capacity? Low Power Mode keeps it under 1050 W; the bed and chamber then heat up more slowly. With the AMS 3H on top, the H3C is over a metre tall: place it on the floor or on a low, stable surface.

Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from the H2C?
The H2C only swaps the hotend (Vortek) and works with an external AMS. The H3C has nine complete PrintTools, each with its own filament path, plus a built-in AMS 3H with dryer. It also prints 2.85 mm TPU and, with CraftTools, can cut, draw and deboss as well.
How many materials can I use in one print?
Nine via the AMS 3H. Connect your existing AMS units, such as an AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT, to PrintTool 1 to go up to 24 spools.
What is the 2.85 mm PrintTool for?
Only for 2.85 mm flexible filament, such as Bambu TPU 75A. It comes factory-installed in slot 8, the drying slot, because TPU absorbs moisture quickly. Want nine materials in 1.75 mm? Then add an extra 1.75 mm PrintTool.
Does the AMS 3H dry all spools?
The AMS 3H dries two slots at a time, up to 85 °C. This also works while printing, with filaments that stay dimensionally stable at that temperature. Put the filament you need first in the drying slots.
Can I print carbon fibre filament?
Yes. All nozzles, from 0.2 to 0.8 mm, are made of fully hardened steel (HRC 55+) and handle carbon fibre, glass fibre and other composite filaments.
Can the H3C also cut and draw?
Yes, with the optional CraftTools such as the CutTool and DrawTool. They swap automatically, just like the PrintTools. You’ll also need a cutting mat, and the optional BirdsEye camera makes alignment smoother.
How much space do I need?
Allow 593 × 1056 × 1306 mm: 385 mm at the front for the door, 290 mm at the top for the AMS lid, 100 mm at the back and 50 mm on each side. On a Bambu Station L that becomes 1900 mm high.
How fast is delivery?
In stock means delivery in 1 to 3 working days. Out of stock? Order anyway and we’ll deliver as soon as it arrives.
