Bambu Lab X1-Carbon

The smart all-rounder for engineering materials

The X1-Carbon combines a micro lidar and AI monitoring with a hardened nozzle and fast CoreXY motion. So besides PLA and PETG you can also print PA, PC and carbon or glass fibre reinforced filaments. Outgoing model: we are selling the last units while stocks last.

Why the X1-Carbon

Smart, fast and ready for composites

Micro lidar

Measures nozzle height, calibrates flow and scans the first layer at micrometre level. Together with force sensors it delivers double-checked bed levelling.

AI monitoring

A 1080p camera and a built-in AI chip detect failed prints (spaghetti) and check the first layer, so you can start an overnight print with peace of mind.

Ready for composites

Hardened steel nozzle and extruder gears: ideal for carbon and glass fibre reinforced filaments such as PA-CF.

Blazing fast

CoreXY with a welded steel chassis: up to 500 mm/s, 20,000 mm/s² acceleration and 32 mm³/s flow.

Enclosed and warm

Aluminium and glass enclosure, chamber temperature up to 60 °C, bed up to 110 °C and an activated carbon filter for ABS, ASA, PA and PC.

Multicolour with the AMS

Connect an AMS for multiple colours or materials, expandable to 16 colours.

Applications

Who is the X1-Carbon for?

Engineering & prototyping

Stiff, functional parts in PA-CF, PC or ABS, with the precision of lidar calibration.

Education & makerspaces

Enclosed, with a door sensor and AI monitoring: suited to shared workshops and technical programmes.

Businesses

Jigs, fixtures and small batches in engineering materials, fast and repeatable.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the X1-Carbon still being made?

No. Bambu Lab no longer makes the X1-Carbon. We are selling the last units from stock; once sold out, it disappears from the shop. For maintenance and repairs you can still come to us.

Can I print carbon-fibre filament?

Yes. Thanks to the hardened steel nozzle and extruder gears, carbon and glass fibre reinforced filaments are ideal on the X1-Carbon.

What is the difference with the P1S?

The X1-Carbon has a micro lidar for advanced AI detection, a larger touchscreen and a hardened nozzle for composites. The P1S is more affordable, but fibre-reinforced filaments are not recommended on it without an upgrade.

Can I add an AMS later?

Yes. To add an AMS 2 Pro to an X1-Carbon without AMS you need the AMS 2 Pro upgrade kit.

How fast is delivery?

From stock we deliver in 1 to 3 working days. Collection in Aalst is also possible.

Still unsure?

We’re happy to help you choose the right printer, by phone, by email or in our showroom in Aalst.
